As the owner and founder of SALON DUMBO, David Jones-Munoz brings over 25 years of experience in the fashion and beauty industries. He was featured in American Salon Magazine’s “5: The New Breed”: “David Lyle Jones-Munoz, a former paralegal whose law firm put him through beauty school when he wanted a career change, is something of a renaissance man. Besides having an unstintingly positive attitude, he is not afraid of change. After a 48-hour visit to New York City, Jones-Munoz returned to his San Francisco home, sold his two salons, and moved to Manhattan to pursue new dimensions in his career.”
Over the past 20 years, David has collaborated with leading names across beauty, fashion, and advertising. On the beauty manufacturing side, he has worked with Trevor Sorbie International, Conair, and Matrix as an International Team Member, Artistic Director, and Product Development Liaison. In fashion and advertising, he has partnered with Wilhelmina and Karen’s modeling agencies. His work spans celebrities, models, and designers, including Carolina Herrera, Elaine Paige, Gale Harold of Queer as Folk, Sonia Braga, Tyra Banks, Ricki Lake, Rita Moreno, the late Helen Gurley Brown, and Princess Sarah bint Bandar bin Fahd of Saudi Arabia. Publications such as Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Vogue, and Harper’s Bazaar, as well as multiple fashion and corporate brands, have relied on his expertise to refine and elevate their images.

SENIOR STYLIST/COLORIST
Our specialist in Color, and Master Hairdresser, Eileen has been in the beauty industry for 25 years. Her amazing hairdressing skills, blowouts, highlights and color corrections rival the best in the business. Over the years, she has observed the many changes in the industry and kept up with the current trends while acknowledging that her style is based in strong classic techniques and style. And in her experience, classic never goes out of style. As one of our busiest stylists Eileen is always ready to try new things and engage with the clients in making them look the very best they can.
“I started beauty school two days after I graduated high school. I didn't really want to go to college, at the time, so that's what I did. I completed beauty school in 6.5 months”. Eileen started working immediately and never turned back. Her experience is based in some of the busiest salons in Manhattan-Midtown, West Village and Queens. “At some point in my busy schedule, I managed to have a kid (who is now 13), and complete a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice, but my heart was with doing hair. It gives me such happiness to make someone feel beautiful who doesn’t, to make someone smile who can’t and to make all of my clients feel loved and important because that’s how my clients make me feel... loved and important. I would never change a thing.”

Chad Taber, a master colorist and integral part of Salon Dumbo, is a veteran salon stylist with a reputation for precision, artistry, and uncompromising standards. Based in Brooklyn, NY, he specializes in high-level color transformations, dimensional brunettes, modern blonding, and corrective work. He also enjoys the energy of working on set and backstage at NYFW events.
As a Technical Educator for Alfaparf Milano Professional, Chad is trusted to train and mentor fellow professionals in advanced color systems, formulation, and application techniques. His approach combines technical discipline with intuitive artistry, delivering bespoke results for a discerning clientele.

COLORIST/STYLIST
Kinga, has joined our team to provide our guests with the skills of true artist. Stylist and colorist , twenty year career started right after high school when she moved to New York to attend LIBS Beauty Academy. She worked for a major salon in NY where she learned her advanced coloring and haircutting techniques. After this experience I moved to Europe and worked there for 15 years. She is a third generation of hairdresser/stylists. As a Master stylist/colorist , she is famous for doing beautiful colors, from all hues of blond to the prettiest of brunettes, custom color blending is my speciality. Fashion and art has always inspired me to do great haircuts and color.
When I’m not working I love to travel the world and deep water diving.

He has also worked for different beauty companies as a trainer, hairdresser, teacher, speaker, and consultant for Sebastian (in Argentina and Colombia), Roberto Giordano (in Spain), Linange (NYC and Colombia), Wella, Alfaparf, Byspro, L&M Cosmetics, Loreal, Kerastase, Schwarzkopf, Tech Italy, Forest, Be Roots, Tondeo Scissors, Kiepe Professionals, Parlux, Blommer, Gamma, BabyLiss pro, Luis Llongueras. Recamier, Naprolab, Tac for men, Kosmoflex in El Salvador, Gabriela Bolh in Perú.
